We stayed in most of this weekend, and worked on sprucing up our house. Brother Joe and his girlfriend Lucy are staying with us for a few weeks over Christmas, which has been a good little incentive for us to finally get round to fixing up the guest bedroom. Jason pulled out all the stops and did the whole room in just over 24 hours (it’s been like Changing Rooms over here!) whilst I did a few other borings chores. Like cleaning the wooden flooring in our hall and kitchen, and dusting the bannisters.

We also spent a good portion of the weekend tucking into some Hope & Greenwood Christmas confectionary (very kindly sent to us as a sample, which was very kindly ditched in a random place outside our house by our postman, who very kindly didn’t leave a note letting me know it was there). Those mince pie bonbons are a sensation, and that’s a fact. And what with the Christmas sweets, and the big bowl of clementines in our living room, and the poinsettia currently hanging out  on top of the little bookcase which is stacked high with festive magazines, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas round here!

That picture of you and Teddy is beautiful. It reminds me so much of the woods near my hometown and now I can’t wait to get back for Christmas and take my greyhound, Travis, on frosty morning walks too.

Those Bon-Bons sound amazing. Sometimes the most odd flavours just work! Christmas in a sweet, I imagine?

Hopefully you’ll be suitably festive when your guest arrive, as it sounds like you’re on the right track there. Any tips?
