10 things that’ve made me happy this week!

I just read this list back after finishing writing all ten points, and realised that they’re all pretty much baby or food related. What can I say, I guess those two things are just the main sources of happiness in my life right now! This week I’ve probably been more hungry than I ever have been before in my life, so it does make sense. Breakfast is on my mind as a fall asleep at night, snacktime comes at any hour of the day (make that ‘many hours of the day’), and I’m so hungry by the time I’m cooking dinner each evening it’s all I can do not to dive into the fridge every five seconds for something to graze on until Jason gets home. Speaking of which, it’s time for me to head to the kitchen…

1. Going on a mini baby-shopping spree in London in the middle of the week! It’s all too easily to fill a basket until it’s overflowing with tiny sleep suits and mini leggings…

2. Discovering the magic of the Beauty Blender (one of those fancy foundation sponges). It gave me easily the most natural looking face of makeup I’ve ever done, I totally love it!

3. Dinner out at Byron with Jason on Thursday evening. We’re all about the milkshakes, fries, onion rings, and that epic Caesar salad Byron seem to do so well! (I’m SO hungry right now, and just typing this has made my belly ache…)

4. The sight of so many tomatoes growing fat and green on the plant in our garden…

5. A slice of chocolate and salted caramel cake from the bakery in our local Waitrose. It was GLORIOUS.

6. Girl chat over milkshakes with Tania and Freya on Wednesday. Always leaves me with an aching belly from so much laughter, and aching teeth from those ultra rich milkshakes…

7. The baby in my belly that always seems to wriggle extra hard when he or she can hear Jason talking. Makes my heart ache with love <3

8. Grapefruit! Pineapple! Mango! Basically all the fruit, because you know how obsessed I am right now. (Honestly, if we don’t have at least two grapefruits in the fruit bowl at any one time, I start panicking…)

9. The new pink cushion on our bed. It’s so pretty and girly in our all grey and white bedroom, it makes me happy every time I look at it!

10. Watching Elsie chase a butterfly whilst out on a walk last Sunday! She’s so cute, it’s kind of ridiculous.

What’s made you happy this week? :)

I love these kinds of posts! I’m super happy about all of the summer fruits starting to come in and get ripe! I’m obsessed with peaches at the moment. It is so lovely that your little baby wriggles when they can hear Jason – that’s so adorable.

As we go into Summer, I’m all about fruit too. When I was pregnant with my son, I craved bananas constantly. So much so I joked I was having a little monkey. Love reading about your pregnancy fruit obsessions.

Aw I am loving all of the happy! Such a wonderful and fun post :) Food was amazing while I was pregnant and I think I thought about food more than anything else at times ha ha.

I really love these posts, I’m glad you’ve started them up again, especially because it’s such a happy exciting time for you right now! Also, I especially got no. 10 – my best friends miniature dachshund used to try to pounce on moths when he was a puppy and it was just adorable!

Loved reading this. How do you stop eating?! I’ve got absolutely not will power when it comes to food – goodness knows how I would cope if I were pregnant! H x

I really need to give the beauty blender a go! I’ve tried the Real Techniques sponge and I don’t think I used it correctly and ended up throwing it out!

Gad your tomato plant is growing nicely, all of our balcony plants have shrivelled up now as it’s just too hot for them here in Dubai! That chocolate and caramel cake sounds incredible, I’ve just put a banana loaf in the oven but now I feel like making a chocolate cake as well!
