A radiant berry-toned Autumn makeup look.

Experimenting with makeup looks and beauty products is something I’ve become more confident with over the past couple of years. Once upon a time I’d never even have dreamed of wearing a bold lip colour, but now- the bolder the better!

This particular look is one of my favourites for this time of year. It works so well as a way of pepping up a more casual outfit, and that beautifully warm, rich lip colour goes with just about everything. It’s almost laughably easy to put together too- with the glowy, lightweight base and ‘barely there’ nude eye leaving the lip colour to be the standout feature of the look.

Here’s how…

01 :: Smooth on your foundation (I use my fingers instead of a brush, for a natural look) then add concealer beneath the eyes and to cover any blemishes.

>> I’m using Georgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (I originally bought it for my wedding, and absolutely love the lightweight but flawless finish it gives) paired with Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer in the shade Soft Beige.

02 :: Apply a light brown matte eyeshadow to your eyelid, taking it right up to the brow line. Blend a darker brown shade to the crease, and a small amount to the lower lash line to softly define the eye.

>>  I’m using Urban Decay’s ‘Naked‘ as the base colour, and ‘Cover’ (from the Naked2 Basics palette) as the contour.

03 :: Run a soft brown pencil liner along your upper inner lash line to create some subtle definition, and then finish with plenty of black mascara.

>> I’m using Soap & Glory Smoulder Kohl liner in the shade Cocoa Bean, and Benefit Roller Lash mascara.

04 :: Blend a rosey blusher into the apples of your cheeks, and then sweep a warm-toned highlighter along your cheekbones to add warmth.

>> I’m using Benefit Bella Bamba blusher, and MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in the shade ‘Soft and Gentle’.

05 :: Finish with a touch of translucent powder where necessary, but be as sparing as you can, so as to keep the overall look radiant and glowing.

>> I’m using Bare Minerals Touch Up Veil in shade Light.

06 :: Apply a plum lipstick to the lips, with a liner too if the lipstick you’re using tends to bleed or smudge. Despite being pretty bold, the shade I’m using here is so wearable, and looks incredible on any skintone. And, bonus, it lasts for hours too!

>> I’m using MAC ‘Amorous’ lipstick, which has a beautiful satin finish.
