10 things that’ve made me happy this week!

Cider-with-Rosie-Friday-happy-list

Friday’s rolled around awfully quickly, this week! I’m not complaining though. Especially not since next week features the best Tuesday in the year (Pancake Day, what else?!). I’m heading to the supermarket today to pick up a giant tub of Nutella to honour the occasion in the best way I know how ;) This weekend we’re going to go and start looking at suits for Jason and his best men to wear at the wedding, and I’d also like to make use of the bubble bar thingies I bought from Lush a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully we might even manage a lie-in, which would be a real treat considering for one reason or another, we’ve had alarms set for anywhere between 7 and 8.30 every morning for the past couple of weekends! If we manage to get in a breakfast in bed too, all the better. So, here’s to the weekend! And here’s what’s made this week a lovely one…

1. A new pair of Reebok slip on trainers, that’re honestly and truly the comfiest things I’ve ever had on my feet. Details to follow in a post at the end of Feb- sit tight! ;)

2. Watching the Great British Bake Off whilst eating fresh-from-the-oven chocolate and caramel cookies. It was a match made in heaven. {p.s. recipe HERE, minus the Nutella and plus a square of Lindt caramel brownie chocolate in each!}

3. The new little succulents on our bedside tables! They brighten the room up so nicely.

4. Drinking fresh black coffee in the mornings. Partly because it tastes good, partly (mainly) because it’s quicker than waiting for milk to heat up on the stove…

5. Dried sour mango! TOTALLY amazing. Though it’ll give you a major stomach ache if you eat too much in one go. I learned that the hard way…

6. The ‘Wild Honeysuckle’ candle I’ve just started burning. Smells divine, whether it’s lit or not!

7. Erato’s ‘Pictures of Pets’ album. They’ve been a favourite of mine for a long time, so discovering this album’s been a total week-maker.

8. Wedding planning productivity! We’ve had a major spell of organisation this week, and it’s been great! Flowers are now well underway (our florist- and good friend- Michelle is on the case, and we’re so excited to see what she comes up with!), we’ve found and booked cars, settled on dresses for the little bridesmaids…we’re getting there!

9. Spending a happy Sunday last weekend with my three favourite ladies in Richmond. There was cake, and a visit to Whole Foods, and coffee, and a whole lot of chatter!

10. Coming home from evening Body Balance classes on a Monday evening to mashed potatoes cooked by Jason. Sometimes I have visions of mashed potato swim into my mind when I’m in the middle of a sequence during class. True story…

Three posts I’ve loved reading this week :: Sara’s list of things she’s un-learnt since becoming a mother || Sophie’s advice on how to be a happier creative || & these darling heart-topped flats on Garance DorĂ©!

What’s made you happy this week? :)

This all sounds so happy. Really hope you get your lie-in at the weekend – we’ve had early mornings for the last few weekends, and you’re right – sometimes you just need to chill out! Aren’t succulents just gorgeous? My cousin had them as her table centre-pieces at her wedding last month and I’ve got one of them in my living room now. Enjoy the rest of your Friday! Dame Edna on Bake Off was just too much, I was full on belly laughing! Literally cannot wait for pancake day! Gona try and get creative with some savoury fillings this year… but might just resort to sugar and lemon – I guess fate will decide x

Love reading these posts :) I am so excited for Pancake Day, I think I get more excited about this occasion than my actual birthday. I have dried mango on my desk right now, it is so addictive. :)

I have to agree with you on this coming Tuesday being the best Tuesday of the year – I can hardly wait for it to arrive! There are just so many options. Also in love with that cookie recipe, most definitely adding that to the to bake list. Fingers crossed you get at least one lie in this weekend. xx

I always love these posts :) I still have to see the Bake Off, but I’ve heard it was a great episode! Succulents are really the best; I love them so much. I really wish I liked black coffee, but I just can’t deal with it without at least a dash of milk!

Please come round and bake for me? You always have such lovely food and makes me hungry haha! Your pajamas look so freaking cosy, especially with the jumper too. This week I went to RAG ball with my friends and housemates at the top of Spinnaker tower which was awesome! I also went to an art exhibition opening with a new friend and chatted for hours :) tonight we are getting pizza and watching horror films which will probably be the highlight of my week! Tomorrow’s post is a full happy list from the week if you want to have a read :) xo

Those cookies sound amazing!! And yes, when I’m in a workout class, I spend 99% of the time thinking about food. What I’m going to make for dinner, what I’m going to make next Christmas…no matter how ridicoulous, thats what my mind serves up while I’m lunging and squatting away ;-)

What’s made me happy this week is unusally mild, sunny weather, clean new sheets on laundry day (the best!) and my bf’s delicious chocolate cupcakes!

You had me at number 10, I giggled out loud. I’ve spent the last few weeks watching bake off re-runs but my problem is I eat everything in my cupboard throughout the episode. Bake off makes me fat.
