10 things that’ve made me happy this week!

Homeslice-pizza

Has there been something in the air this week? Everyone I’ve spoken to has said that they’ve been feeling lethargic and drained all week long, and both Jason and I have been struggling to wake up to our alarms. God help us when the clocks go back! I’m sure it’s nothing that a relaxing weekend won’t sort right out…though since we’re working on a little filming project all day on Sunday, I’m not sure this one will be quite as relaxing as it could be! ;) There have been so many lovely things about this week too, of course (pizza, mainly), and guess what! They’re listed below! I hope you’ve had a lovely week, too :)

1. When the Spice Girls came on the radio when I was driving home from the station late last night. I sang along the whole way home, and it was glorious! ;)

2. A stash of new socks, and a new winter scarf. The anticipation of it getting cold enough to wear the scarf is killing me though! (it really is a beauty!)

3. Managing to hold a headstand for the first time in my whole life!

4. Homemade flatbreads with garlic butter + mozzarella. I pretty much ate an entire one to myself, and wasn’t sorry in the slightest.

5. An incredible seven course tasting menu dinner at Launceston Place on Thursday night. The roasted hare was my favourite, served with picked red cabbage and bacon + potato cream. Amazing!

6. Late night cab journeys through the city. And catching trains in the knick of time.

7. Cinnamon lattes.

8. The furious look on Teddy’s face when he spots pigeons in the garden. That dog really does *loathe* pigeons…

9. Browsing online for springer spaniel puppies. I’m hoping that if I find one cute enough, Jason will cave and let me get it…;)

10. Pizza. All the pizza. From Homeslice, and homemade. It’s my vice.

Three posts I’ve loved reading this week :: Freya’s photos + post about banana bread in Antigua || Joannna’s post about the 10 things she’s learnt so far in her career || + Lisette’s sweet ‘thankful Thursday’ list!

What’s on your happy list for this week? :)

Do you still read Cup of Jo? It used to be my favourite blog about 2-3 years ago but has gone so downhill it makes me unhappy to read it now. Such a shame. What made me happy though is that Scotland chose to stay in the UK. The atmosphere around the referendum in Scotland was just amazing.

Aww sounds like such a great week! Don’t you just love when those old, beloved songs come on the radio like that? For me it’s anything Foreigner or Journey…when those come on, I could go from 0 to happy instantly!
Also, how exciting is looking for a puppy! Are you really going to get a spaniel!? I’ve been browsing for a chocolate lab personally…but I have to wait three more semesters until I graduate – just three and then I can finally get my little monster!

Ella (my dog) gets pretty perturbed by squirrels! I would love your flat bread recipe! Is it a homemade crust? I’m planning to experiment a bit this weekend because we have been buying some local, pure ingredients flat breads, but want to start making the crust on my own.

Last week was a rubbish one, but I did smile when I got to meet two lovely friends after a year appart. We just could not stop talking, while eating amazing food too. The best day of the week :)

Hey Rosie, been a reader of your blog for a while and simply love your take on life and just had to leave my first comment as you mentioned you were looking for springer spaniel puppies(!). The reason why this implored me to leave a comment was because I have a springer…and a black cocker spaniel who is the absolute spit of your teddy. Both mine are girls but I just think this is the universe telling me to encourage someone else to get this combination of dogs. Our springer is actually more chilled than the cocker, so, I reckon, if you can handle a cocker, the springer will be a breeze. They are such a joy as a pair and make walks doubly enjoyable (if possible). Anyway, I just had to say – get a springer! I feel I have rambled on for long enough. Thank you for writing this blog and don’t change – it’s lovely. X
