Cornflowers ::

Purchased at our local flower market for a happy 1.99 a bunch, they might just be my favourite flowers we’ve ever had in the house. I love the contrast between the delicate petals, and that screamingly bold blue colour. Most are sat all wild and wispy in an old clip top jar on my kitchen window sill, and the rest (a tiny bunch) can be found bringing life to my bedside table from inside a vintage milk bottle.

{ Post inspired by the ever wonderful Rachel, whose blog I love and can’t recommend highly enough }

    This such a vibrant color! Love the look of these.. I think I may have seen these somehwere.. arent the petals almost soft paper like? This must be catching all the attention in the house right now! :-)

    Oh, I do love cornflowers. I miss all the wildflowers we had living in the countryside. The city is definitely lacking in them!

    Cornflowers always remind me of my dad, every year we would grow our own (he was big into nature) and we would take them to his memorial stone at the crematorium. They’re simple flowers but they mean a lot to me.

    Cornflowers are super easy to grow in pots! I grew some last year outside. Even when the colour starts to fade, they go like a subtle purple colour. xxxxx
