10 things that’ve made me happy this week!

Oh, this week. This week has felt like a long one! I’ve been turning my alarm off in my sleep each and every morning, and haven’t felt on top of my game at all. All my ‘to-dos’ have been ‘done’ still- just at a slower, and more laborious pace than usual. I’m ready for a good long sleep this weekend, and some time spent with family and friends. Hopefully in the sunshine, too! We’ve got a little photo shoot happening at our house on Sunday morning, but aside from that, a birthday dinner for my lovely Jo on Sunday afternoon, and a little light cleaning, we plan to do as little possible over the next couple of days! I hope you’ve got a lovely weekend ahead of you, too! :) Here’s a little list of what’s made me most happy in the past week…

1. The sweet little plant I added to our bookshelf line-up early on in the week! I’m not sure what it’s called, but apparently it doesn’t like direct sunlight which is good news for our shady old living room.

2. Throwing pinecones into the lake for Teddy to retrieve yesterday morning. I especially loved watching him try as hard as he could to crunch each pine cone up and eat it whilst he swam back to me, because he didn’t want me to take it out of his mouth when he got back to the banks of the lake. Silly dog of mine.

3. Wearing dungarees and baggy t-shirts. The epitome of summer comfort!

4. Working my way through the new Body Balance DVDs my instructor gave me this week. It’s been great to switch up my workout routine, and feel the difference it’s having on my body.

5. Peanut butter + raspberry jam on sunflower seed bread. So tasty!

6. Game. Of. Thrones. Gawd damn, I love that show. (And will be heading to the library this week to try and pick up the books!)

7. A nectarine so ripe and juicy I almost needed to go and jump in the a shower after eating it. (I know I’ve been talking endlessly about peaches and nectarines lately. I’ll stop now…probably)

8. White chocolate & caramel brownies. I knocked them together super quickly on Monday evening, and they wound up being without a doubt the best brownies I’ve ever made. Watch this space for a recipe!

9. Booking a wedding dress fitting in London for the end of June! I finally decided to book in at Pronovius, and I’m excited! It really is the best fun EVER!

10. The sweet ‘Let’s grow old together’ print (pictured above) that arrived in the post this week, a gift from the lovely Jade at Ginger Pickle. I’m going to hang it on the wall behind our bed, along with a couple more framed photos.

Three posts I’ve loved reading this week :: Naomi’s candid post about her third pregnancy (I’m so excited that she’s expecting once again! She and her man do make such cute babies!) || Tania’s recipe for a better day || and Anya’s incredible photos of wildlife spotted during a walk in the Peaks! (check out that sassy sheep!)

What’s made you happy this week? :)

I am absolutely terrible at waking up early to get things done. I try and say to myself “tomorrow is your day off, wake up early and be productive” but it never happens!

OH GOD GAME OF THRONES! I have no idea where you’re up to but all I will say is “OH MY GOD. SO GOOD!” I love that show. I’m currently on the fourth book and I’m loving it!

This week I’ve been made happy by my new Sunflower hair tie and Salted Caramel flavoured coffee. Peanut butter always brightens my day. I could probably eat it by the spoonful.

Game of thrones. I want to hate it…. but I love it. It’s a guilty pleasure.
