It’s the weekend (hooray!), so what better time to be introduced to a whole bunch of wonderful new blogs, and even a new shop! There isn’t one, and that’s a fact. So go and make a cup of something hot and delicious (tea, coffee, hot chocolate, you know the drill) and then get ready to hit the ‘follow blog’ button a fair few times! :)

Scared Toast
Tabitha’s blog is brilliant. It features the most comprehensive mixture of posts I’ve ever seen on a blog (seriously, Tabitha’s a marvel!) including beauty reviews, wishlists, outfit posts, product features, and my personal favourite ’9 Little Things’ lists. Also, Tabitha recently designed and coded her blog all by herself! Total pro. Also, Tabitha’s become a real-life friend over the past few months and I can confirm that she’s a total sweetheart both on and off screen :) Head over and have a read!
Favourite post of the past month? 9 little things I love about Autumn.

Berry Diaries
Berry Diaries is without a doubt one of the best blogs I’ve added to my reading list in the past year. Every post Lulu writes is thought-provoking, considered, and makes me think hard about how I treat my body. Lulu shares a mix of wonderful healthy recipes, inspiring quotes and ideas, and advice on how to treat your body like a temple. It’s a wonderful read, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Favourite post of the past month? What is a superfood?

Dear You Love Em
Em’s blog is a brand new one, and it shaping up to be oh so lovely. Though with a lady as sweet as Em at the helm, how could it be anything but lovely? In the past few weeks Em’s been sharing on her blog fun happy lists, resolutions (you know I love a good resolution!) and one hell of MAC collection giveaway! Head over there and have a read! :)
Favourite post of the past month? Sunday Smiles: The Art of Procrasti-baking.

Shu Likes Clothes
Shu Likes Clothes is *such* a good read. Shu is totally hilarious, a complete knockout (seriously, go  and see!) and shares outfit posts that make me want to head to the shops every darn time I read them. Her blog is primarily style-focused, but is peppered with fun weekend round ups and lifestyle posts. I can’t recommend it highly enough!
Favourite post of the past month? Oriental Print Trousers.

Ji Ji Kiki
Ji Ji Kiki was new to me this month, and has been placed straight in the ‘Buy my sister’s Christmas presents from here’ bookmark folder on my computer! It sells a sweet selection of kitsch and vintage inspired jewellery, clothing, homeware, and accessories, AND offers super cheap delivery rates! And if there’s one sure fire way to make a good shop great, it’s by offering providing super affordable delivery, don’t you think?
Favourite piece from Ji Ji Kiki? This sweet squirrel t-shirt!

Daydream in Blue
Tom’s blog has been one of my favourite discoveries of the past month! He shares lovely recipes (hey there fellow kale chip obsessive!) inspiring moodboards, product reviews, and even the odd lifestyle post! You know, I kind of want Tom to be my friend. Is that weird to say? I don’t know, but you should definitely go and have a read of his sweet blog :)
Favourite post of the past month? Banana and blueberry breakfast smoothie.

Erstwhile Felicity
Can we all take a minute to just appreciate how beautiful Erstwhile Felicity is? Sonia’s photos are some of the nicest I’ve ever seen on a blog, and I always get excited to see a new post from Erstwhile Felicity pop up in my reader. This past month Sonia’s shared a recipe for marble cake (guess what I’m craving right now?) and beautiful photos of flowers, conkers, and crisp autumn leaves. Truly one of my all time favourite blogs.
Favourite post of the past month? Marble cake.

Poppytails and Trails
Pauline’s blog is such a happy read. She shares tales from her recent goings on, product reviews, little updates (my favourite to read!) and some simply beautiful photographs. She’s also convinced me that I need to track down some Kringle candles, because a cider doughnut scented candle? Uhh, well that just about sounds like heaven on earth!
Favourite post of the past month? Candles that give you a warm hug.

Hola Irela
You’ve met Irela before here, remember? :) Her blog’s the one with the to-die-for photographs, delicious looking (healthy and vegan!) recipes, beautiful pastel toned design. It’s one of my absolute favourite favourite reads, and I recommend it to everyone I know! If you’ve not yet had a read of it, you’re in for a real treat. I recommend you start here…
Favourite post of the past month? Vegan chocolate cake.

Bianca’s in Wonderland
Bianca’s blog has been another delightful new find this month! It’s a lifestyle blog of the highest order- comprising of photos of Bianca’s beautiful daughter, stories from their adventures, and day to day snapshots. It’s the sort of blog that you can get lost in, and is so entirely happy-making I’m certain it’ll stay in my list of blogs I make a point to check daily for a very long time.
Favourite post of the past month? Sunday Stuff.

Sophie in the Sticks
There’s something wonderfully unique about Sophie’s blog. I love the way in which she delights in her country-ness (girl after my own heart!) her gorgeous tweed and tartan skirts, and her beautiful photographs and writing style. And my goodness, Sophie makes me wants to take up running! (She has the best legs ever. Fact.)
Favourite post of the past month? Poppy’s Wood.

Kimi and Me
It’s always a pleasure to have an excuse to read Kimi and me, and this month has been no exception! Just lately Christina’s been sharing more of her wonderful inspiration boards (they always leave me feeling adventurous and ambitious!) news of her recent goings on, and the odd post about her purchases of late. It’s just such a delightful read, and one I think you’ll love.
Favourite post of the past month? My favourites.

Every Word Handwritten
I love Rosie’s blog. There, that’s all you need to know isn’t it? ;) She’s been getting all pumped for Halloween this month (and puts my absolute lack of Halloween enthusiasm to shame) and has shared recipes for sweet mini faux pumpkins and a ‘Dracula’s blood’ drink! She’s also been testing out a new tablet (the lucky thing!) and painting her nails beautiful colours. What a month! :)
Favourite post of the past month? Pretty little city.

One Ten Zero Seven.
One Ten Zero Seven has been such a lovely read this month! Sophie’s been sharing fun cocktail recipes, details on gigs she’s lusting over, and photos of beautiful autumnal outfits. Most excitingly though, she’s made the decision to become self-employed and work full time as a freelance designer! Congratulations Sophie!
Favourite post of the past month? Grander maybes.

That Adventurer
I’m so, so glad to have been introduced to Hannah’s darling blog this month! It’s the kind of joyful lifestyle blog I just love to read, with posts full of beautiful photos, updates about Hannah’s most recent adventures, and the kind of detail that makes me feel I’m reading about a friend rather than a relative stranger. Have a read, and you’ll know what I mean…
Favourite post of the past month? A properly lemony lemon drizzle cake.

Frosted Pearl
You’re going to just love Vivi’s blog, I know it! Another new find for me this month, it’s full of stunning photographs, visual eye-candy and tales from Vivi’s recent goings on. I especially loved her post all about meeting darling Tania in Daylesford Farm Cafe. Those photos were just the prettiest :)
Favourite post of the past month? Daylesford Farm Cafe.

Daisy Daisy
I’m so glad to have sweet Linsey advertising with me again this month! Her blog is getting prettier and prettier week on week! This past month she’s been blogging about her secret wishes, new kitchen decor, and her battle with insomnia. Sending ‘get some sleep soon’ vibes your way sweet lady!
Favourite post of the past month? I wish…

Life Enchanted
Megan is an American girl who fell in love with a British guy, and is now in possession of the sweetest love story ever! (Seriously, go and have a read of it!) Her blog is a record of their adventures in England with her sweet fiancé, and makes for a truly romantic read :) Her writing is just so lovely, and draws me in time and again.
Favourite post of the past month? Shere, the village that stood still.

Key-lime-smores

Image found via Pinterest (natch) and originally from Adventures in Cooking.

1. Kicking fallen leaves around for Ted, and watching him tear back and forth trying to catch them. It’s his favourite game in the entire world, and makes me laugh a lot :)

2. Red lipstick. Kate Moss 107 is my favourite for winter.

3. Keeping a tidy house. I’ve been trying hard to multitask in order to help keep the house tidy (emptying and reloading the dishwasher whilst dinner’s cooking, you know the sort of thing) and it’s been making such a difference. I’ve been so enjoying coming down to the kitchen in the morning, and not being faced with a tower of dishes we were too lazy to wash up the previous night!

4. Drinking tea out in the cold afternoon air.

5. A kale, apple & cheddar cheese salad, with balsamic dressing. My new favourite.

6. Making weekend plans to spend the day at my Mum’s on Sunday, working on blog projects in her beautiful kitchen and eating a stonking cooked-by-Ma roast dinner.

7. Buying sprinkles. Sometimes buying the most colourful (read:vulgar) thing in the cake decorating section of the garden centre is a must, don’t you think?

8. Carrot soup (another new favourite!) with buttered cream crackers on the side.

9. Listening to a storm raging whilst lying cosy in a hall doing Pilates on Tuesday evening. All classes should come with a storm in the interest of cosiness and feel-good satisfaction, I think.

10. Making Christmas plans. I say this every year, but I *think* I’m going to make mostly homemade gifts this Christmas. Though not for Jason, naturally. I just don’t think that he’d appreciate homemade granola for Christmas, you know? ;)

What’s made you happy this week? :)

Here’s some information about today. At the time of writing it’s Wednesday, I’ve got a serious case of headfog, and trying to string a sentence together is like pulling teeth right now. I’ve written and rewritten the content for this post no less than one hundred thousand times. It might be because I overslept this morning, and so had to make do with a breakfast of a petrol station vanilla latte before dashing off to take Ted for his annual jabs and a walk. I spilt coffee all over my purse whilst adding syrup to the cup, almost left my phone behind on the petrol station counter, then hit a kerb AND stalled my car whilst driving. And to top it all, I just made granola bars and forgot to put sugar in, so they were an unmitigated disaster. See? Brain. Fog.

On the less whiney note, I’m feeling chipper because Jason and I are going to an extra Pilates class this week! Pilates has risen pretty high on my list of favourites since we start taking classes six weeks ago. Our instructor Sarah told us that it’d take a few weeks for everything to start slotting together and working harmoniously, and she was oh so right. I’ve not felt this in charge of my body (I think that’s the right way to express it) for a good few years now, and it’s pretty great.

Now, can we talk about the Great British Bake Off? Jason and I watched the final an hour after it aired on Tuesday (Pilates starts at 8pm, oh the inconvenience!) and I swear to goodness I’ve never worked so hard to *not* go on social media in all my life so as not to find out the winner before we watched it. ^^ Sidenote: Isn’t that pathetic, to have to work hard to not go on twitter? Urgh. I need to get a grip on myself.^^ Anyway, so the GBBO. I still can’t get over the fact that Ruby didn’t win, to be honest. Frances seems a total love, but Ruby stole our hearts in the first episode and we rooted for her from then on. Have you read this article she wrote for the Guardian? She’s a bright lady. Tell me, was Frances your winner?

Now for another round of quickfire news, because that’s my favourite way of delivering you pointless trivia from round these parts! Here goes…Marks and Spencer’s have just brought out their Mandarin Cinnamon & Clove candles for Christmas, which is brilliant because those candles are the freaking bomb! Teddy ate the tail off his sheep toy, and swallowed it whole! New gel food colouring and sprinkles! (be still my heart!) Jason drove all the way to Ipswich and back in a day, and did a full lap of the m25! We’ve been working hard at keeping our house tidier, and have been doing *all* the washing up before bed each night. Unheard of for us, and it’s making our house a much happier place! I made kale chips! Our smoke alarm has gone on the blink, and the noise of it beeping randomly terrifies Ted so much I’ve had to go all Phoebe on it.

Round up? In the bag. How was your Wednesday?

p.s. I feel as though there’ve been an awful lot of leaves on Cider with Rosie of late. Sorry about that. I’ll cool it on the leaf front for a while starting as of…NOW!

p.s. I naively thought titling my outfit posts ‘WORN’ was oh so original (yeah, sure), but then just the other day realised that Miss James of the ever wonderful Bleubird has a ‘WORN’ series of her own! My shadowing has been unintentional, I swear!

p.p.s. Chopped my fringe myself this weekend because it was getting a little long, and now I can’t stop trimming it. Someone come and confiscate my scissors, please?
