10 things that’ve made me happy this week…

1. Kicking fallen leaves around for Ted, and watching him tear back and forth trying to catch them. It’s his favourite game in the entire world, and makes me laugh a lot :)

2. Red lipstick. Kate Moss 107 is my favourite for winter.

3. Keeping a tidy house. I’ve been trying hard to multitask in order to help keep the house tidy (emptying and reloading the dishwasher whilst dinner’s cooking, you know the sort of thing) and it’s been making such a difference. I’ve been so enjoying coming down to the kitchen in the morning, and not being faced with a tower of dishes we were too lazy to wash up the previous night!

4. Drinking tea out in the cold afternoon air.

5. A kale, apple & cheddar cheese salad, with balsamic dressing. My new favourite.

6. Making weekend plans to spend the day at my Mum’s on Sunday, working on blog projects in her beautiful kitchen and eating a stonking cooked-by-Ma roast dinner.

7. Buying sprinkles. Sometimes buying the most colourful (read:vulgar) thing in the cake decorating section of the garden centre is a must, don’t you think?

8. Carrot soup (another new favourite!) with buttered cream crackers on the side.

9. Listening to a storm raging whilst lying cosy in a hall doing Pilates on Tuesday evening. All classes should come with a storm in the interest of cosiness and feel-good satisfaction, I think.

10. Making Christmas plans. I say this every year, but I *think* I’m going to make mostly homemade gifts this Christmas. Though not for Jason, naturally. I just don’t think that he’d appreciate homemade granola for Christmas, you know? ;)

What’s made you happy this week? :)

I love your 10 happiness posts! Definitely makes me sit back and consider my own little joys. Carrot soup is definitely a firm autumn favourite, and I love the way you described the cosiness of the pilates class. Some lovely moments! This week what did it for me was knowing that I have support from my loved ones, all I could ever wish for! x

I still haven’t hopped on board the kale bandwagon, but that combo sounds pretty nice. Good luck making gifts! I handstamped and embossed my own christmas cards last year, and never want to do it again haha.

Good list lady!!!!! I cracked out the red lippie this week too, somehow it suits much more in Autumn Winter than summer. It made me feel a little bit festive….waaah! Im so excited for Xmas. I am having to hold back a bit and have promised i wont get too carried away and make mince pies AT LEAST until 1st November. But if its miserable on sunday…well i might just start practising….

ALSO in other festive related and extremely exciting news, i spotted a SUGARPLUM liqueur in M&S foodhall yest. If that hasnt got my name written all over it then i dont know what has. I am already dreaming of the festive cocktails i could make! Waaah. Just needs to get colder, im not happy with the temperature of late. xxxxx

Dogs mixed with autumn leaves is always a recipe for comedy, I’ve come home from uni for the week & taking my dog on autumn walks are such a fun pass time! Glad to hear you’ve had a nice week!

Keeping a tidy house is definitely one of life’s simple joys… Although not always easily done.
Homemade baked goods is something I’ve been considering giving for Christmas this year… I’d love to see some posts on your homemade goodies.

So much good stuff! I’ve been doing such a poor job keeping my house tidy lately. It’s a shame because I’m so much happier when I do!
