…for a jaunt in the woods with my two favourite boys, and for a Sunday lunch at Jason’s Mum’s. That cardigan has seen me through every autumn and winter since I was 17, and I love it so. It was from Aubin & Wills’ first ever collection (RIP A&W! Sob!), and was a birthday treat from my Grandma. It’s currently languishing on top of my sewing box (also my Grandma’s!) waiting to be patched up, since there’s a little hole just starting to develop in the left sleeve.
Those shoes I’m wearing have also seen better days. They were (yep, you guess it!) my Grandma’s, and even though the soles have almost completely come away from the uppers I just can’t bear to get rid of them. They do hold such a lot of sentimental value, but aside from that, they’re just so.darn.comfortable. Like, walk around London all day without whinging once kind of comfortable. And since that’s pretty much my only criteria for shoe-buying, I won’t be getting rid of this pair any time soon.
