Do you remember the days when we used to be warned not to arrange to meet up with people in real life that we’d only spoken to online? Well, it seems all I do just lately is meet up with fellow internet-dwellers, and I swear I’ve never met so many wonderful people in my life! I really do think that the best thing about blogs and blogging is how easy they make it to find kindred spirits.

I was so happy to have been invited along to dinner and drinks at The Phene on Tuesday by the darling Freya, because I got to meet some of the most delightful ladies around. I can’t tell you how great to be able to sit and talk ‘shop’ for hours on end with other women working in the blogging industry. Since blogging as a ‘thing’ is so incredibly new it can sometimes feel quite a lonely world to inhabit, so nights out like this are food for the soul. And also food for the stomach, because those chips were a freaking marvel.

^^ I was *so* excited to finally get to meet the beautiful Tania and Freya! Tania and I have been trying to catch up for months now, and we finally managed it! These two are every bit as wonderful as I expected them to be, and about five million times more hilarious! Don’t let Freya’s appearance fool you, she’s got a wicked sense of humour! ;) ^^

After dinner I travelled back across to Waterloo with Becca, having oh so pathetically caught a cab from The Phene (just near the fire station on the King’s Road) to Sloane Square. We got off at Embankment and walked over Waterloo bridge, so that we could admire the city in all its sparkly, lit-up glory. The walk from Embankment to Waterloo is my absolute favourite. I pretty much do it every time I’m in London, unless a blister-situation becomes preventative, of course.

There was a musician playing a clarinet (I think) halfway along the bridge, and listening to him play was pretty magic. I recorded a short clip *here*, if you fancy a listen. Sigh. That city gives me goosebumps.

Oh I’m so jealous of you ladies. I love the friends I have made through blogging. I’ve made truely wonderful friendships with ladies I’ve met online. Blogging means you ‘meet’ people who you may never have encountered in ‘real’ life, soul mates you were unlikely to bump into. It’s brilliant!

I was thinking about that the other day too, how I’ve met so many new and wonderful people through blogging and etsy selling, and how adults used to tell us all the time that we mustn’t talk to strangers on the internet! hahahah

I agree, it is so odd how now many long, great, lasting relationships are built purely over the internet, times are a changin I suppose. Great you got to meet some fellow bloggers !

How lovely that you all met up! It looks like an amazing night was had, and what could be better than a musician accompanying a late-night walk?
