1. Watching falling leaves rushing towards my windscreen whilst driving. I love it almost as much as I love driving through falling snow.
2. The whole of Tuesday evening. Pilates class with Jason, and then an hour of the Great British Bake Off? Couldn’t be more perfect!
3. Wearing red lipstick as an antidote to a worried mind and sore stomach.
4. Watching Ted tear around the park near Jason’s office chasing pigeons. We were really worried this week by a small lump we found on him, and even though it turned out to be totally normal, it’s made me feel extra grateful that we have that little man in our lives.
5. Finding a pound coin in the coin tray of the car park ticket machine, and managing to chase down the guy who’d left it there before me and give it back. I felt like a good citizen that day :)
6. Coffee, and lots of it.
7. A breakfast frittata, for dinner! Little chunks of our favourite red onion sausages, with new potatoes and onions that’d been roasted alongside a chicken all cooked into a fluffy souffle of eggs, with a side salad of rocket. Even better cold the next day. Yum!
8. Switching radio stations just in time to listen to a Bastille song being played. I’m still totally obsessed with them.
9. Watching Ted eat Weetabix for breakfast, on recommendation from the vet. He wasn’t sure what to make of it at first, but ploughed through it with gusto anyway. It was M&S Weetabix too. Only the best for his lordship, right?
10. A mid afternoon nap on Wednesday. My hard drive crashed (& still isn’t fixed. Cross your fingers, please!), and I phoned Jason in hysterics. He told me to turn off my laptop, go upstairs, and watch Disney films in bed until I fell asleep. Sometimes it’s nice to have someone tell you it’s okay to switch off, isn’t it?
What’s made you happy this week? :)
