This month’s batch of blogs is a good’un, I tell you! I actually had to work hard to be concise when writing about each one, or else this post would’ve been about a mile long. You’ll understand why it was so hard to be brief in my write-ups when you’ve had a nose around each one, so go and take a peep! :)

The Grinning Labrador
The Grinning Labrador blog has been such a fun read this month! Lindley’s on the official countdown to her wedding right now (eeeek!) and her excitement is palpable in every post she writes. I for one feel totally invested in this wedding (anyone else feel like that with their favourite blogs?) and will be waiting on tenterhooks to see photos of Lindley in her dress! Aside from all this wedding fun, The Grinning Labrador features some of the most heart-melting dog photos known to man. Have a read of the post linked below. I *dare* you not to smile!
Favourite post of the past month? The Morgan/Bernie tandem!

Erstwhile Felicity
Oh my *goodness* is Sonia’s blog beautiful!? Her photos just blow me away. Erstwhile Felicity is the sort of blog you can get lost in for days at a time, admiring Sonia’s incredible wardrobe and pinning her photos to Pinterest as inspiration. She shares tantalising snippets of her beautiful life, and always leaves me waiting for another post. You’ll love it, I just know.
Favourite post of the past month? Blue.

How does it feel to…
‘How does it feel to…’ is a wonderfully unique mixture of reflections, beauty posts, inspiring quotes, and photos from Bella’s recent goings-on. I just love it! Bella’s writing is so eloquent, and I adore the magazine vibe she’s got going on with her design. Absolutely one of my new favourite blogs to read! Oh, and my favourite post (linked below) has been one of the best things I’ve read all month. Seriously.
Favourite post of the past month? Offer my unorthodox disclaimer.

Bows, Bangles and Bakes
Jen’s blog has been a joy to read this month. She’s written all about life’s simple pleasures (and you know how much I’m all about the little things!) shared a book review of a book I now *really* want to read, and crafted the cutest wedding planner around! Absolutely one of the sweetest, most charming blogs going, written by one of the sweetest, most charming bloggers you’re ever likely to come across!
Favourite post of the past month? Simple pleasures.

Crumpets and Tea
Holly is the third in the lineup of bloggers in my sidebar who’re currently engaged! There must be something in the air at the moment! :) Holly’s blog is both cheery and uplifting. She’s decided to join me in making a new resolution at the beginning of each week, so together we’re improving ourselves one Monday at a time! ;)
Favourite post of the past month? Goodbye.

Life is Worth the Fight
In the past month, Stacie found out she had an infection in her IV line, was admitted to hospital, found out the infection was worse than previously thought, fought for her life, and won! Not sure about you, but my August achievements just paled in comparison! Stacie’s blog is more profound and meaningful than any of the others I read, which is exactly why I like it so much.
Favourite post of the past month? Bucket lists.

Made in Hunters
Emma’s another one who’s done amazing things in August! She entered an eventing competition (with a horse she’d only ridden once before, mind you!) for the first time since her accident a couple of years ago, and did so well! Hooray! She’s also been sharing some stunning photos of her adventures in the countryside with her handsome dog, and sweet friends and family. Always such a cheery read :)
Favourite post of the past month? Cross country eventing.

A Rosy Day
I *adore* Suzi’s blog. She shares snapshots of her (totally awesome and exciting!) life, and I defy anyone to not want to be Suzi’s friend after having a read of her blog! You should absolutely definitely go and read all about how she snagged tickets to dine 100feet up in the air. See what I mean about awesome and exciting? :)
Favourite post of the past month? Dining 100ft up.

Joy and Laughter
Johanna’s blog is another one that I just can’t get enough of at the moment. She takes the most stunning photos (with her iPhone, whaaaat?!) and writes so charmingly I always feel I’m listening to a friend talk, rather than reading words written by someone I’ve never met before. Go and have a read! You’ll just adore Joy and Laughter, I know :)
Favourite post of the past month? I’m off to Ireland.

Kimi and Me
Kimi and Me pulls together the best of the High Street, Pinterest loveliness, and is *the* place to visit for a dose of daily inspiration. Also, Christina is just the cutest, and has incredible taste in clothes and beauty products! In fact, I’m not sure I should keep reading Kimi and Me on a daily basis though, since Christina’s style posts make me want to shop all.the.time! ;)
Favourite post of the past month? the bigger, the better.

Sunny Sweet Pea
I’ve enjoyed reading Sunny Sweet pea more than ever in August, and I just didn’t think that was possible! Aside from all a whole host of general loveliness, this past month Jenny came up with the idea of creating a blogger’s book club! How awesome is that?! She and another blogger are running the club via their blogs, so head over if you’d like to take part!

Dancing through the Fire
Danielle’s blog has been one of my favourite discoveries of August! Dancing through the Fire is a lifestyle blog, on which Danielle shares beautiful photographs from happy weekends, restaurant reviews, and gorgeous outfit posts. If you’re nosy and enjoy taking a peep into someone else’s life (and really, who doesn’t?!) you’ll love love love Dancing through the Fire!
Favourite post of the past month? A summer wedding!

DaisyDaisy
Linsey’s blog has undergone a total transformation this month, and I think her new design is just gorgeous! It suits her sunshiney personality down to an absolute tee! Linsey’s just become the proud owner of the most adorable pup named Ava, so follow along if you’d like to watch that sweet ball of fluff grow! :)
Favourite post of the past month? Fave pins Friday- Vintage.

I really and truly had the best time at Caroline’s wedding this weekend. The day itself was just beautiful (I can’t get over how stunning the flowers were!) and I swear I’ve never had so much fun dancing at a wedding before! Usually I feel too shy to dance at weddings, but not this time! In fact I think I might have overdone it, since my toes are *still* numb and yesterday something went pop in my right hip and now my right ankle’s all swollen and painful. But hey! What’s an injury or two in comparison with dancing to One Direction and Ice Ice Baby with your man and his completely hilarious-and-awesome colleagues?! Continue reading

…for a stroll along the pebbles in the stormy seaside light. Those pebbles helped break in my new boots, and after many hours spent dancing in 4inchers at the wedding the night before, I was grateful for that!

I also wore this outfit out for dinner in Exmouth on Saturday night with Jase, and whilst we were sat at the bar waiting to be seated the guy next to us took out his phone, took a photo of me (without asking!) and then said to his girlfriend ‘Just gonna text this to my mates. Every time we see someone wearing a hat, we all have to drink three fingers of our drink!’. Continue reading

Take-time
Image found via Pinterest, originally via Observando.

This week’s resolution is inspired by an encounter I had at a petrol station last week. It was rush hour, and I wanted to get home so I could start cooking dinner, and the petrol station was absolutely rammed. I parked up behind a pump with a car already next to it, and waited. And waited. And waited some more.

When the guy eventually came out I was all set to scowl and tut at him for taking so long, when he smiled apologetically and ushered his tiny son along in front of him to try and get in the car as quickly as he could. His little boy was so sweet, snacking on a Kinder egg he’d obviously just been bought, and it melted my heart. I felt so guilty for being impatient, and gave the guy an extra big ‘Don’t worry, take your time’ smile to compensate.

And so my resolution for this week (and forever really, but we’ll start just with seven days) is to give myself, and other people, more time. I have a dreadful habit of forever being at least ten minutes behind (as mentioned last week) and it leads to a constant feeling of impatience and hurry. This impatience has a knock on effect for the people I encounter whilst running late, because it means I haven’t got the time to just relax and wait for them to get on with doing their thing, you know?

I’m going to try my absolute hardest to be more tolerant of other people, and give people more of my time instead of forever being in a rush to hurry on with my day.

*Generosity of spirit*
That’s what I’m aiming for.

Have you started out this week with a resolution of your own? :)
