Twenty

‘A photo a day, for thirty one days.’

Day twenty: Yesterday was the girliest day ever. We spent a good five hours shopping, Ma treated us all to new nail varnish, we bought new lipsticks and mascaras and hair clips and eyeshadows, and then I spent the afternoon trying out hairstyles on Emily for her wedding. We think we’ve found the one :) Sneak-peek photos to follow…

p.s. This photo was taken by Sophie, but since I’m in it I don’t think it’s too bad of a cheat ;)

Nineteen

‘A photo a day, for thirty one days.’

Day nineteen: I’ve never seen my sister smile like this before. She’s really settling into herself these days, and it’s so lovely to see. Also, she’s taller than me. I’m officially the smallest of the cousins. Whaaaaat?!

Eighteen

‘A photo a day, for thirty one days.’

Day eighteen: I finally found a midi skirt that I’ve fallen in love with, after a year of searching. Thanks to Grace for introducing me to it. So excited to wear it!

Oh and also in the photo, a random kirby grip. I leave a trail of them wherever I go. Drives Jason round the bend ;)

Catbird-NYC-fine-gold-rings

Image credit: Catbird NYC. Aren’t those fine gold rings beautiful?

1. Having Ted leap up onto my lap in order to get my attention when I was sat doing some work at the dining table. I was so shocked and amused, I couldn’t even tell him off! His attention seeking did the trick, too, since it’s hard to keep working when there’s a 15 kilo spaniel sat between you and your laptop screen…

2. Bright pink nails (with no chips two days in. Record!)

3. Doing Cassey’s Blogilates workouts. They’re just brilliant (and tough!)! I might even prefer them to Jillian’s, and that is saying something!

4. Folding laundry. Soul-soothing.

5. Jase taking time to learn how to use my camera properly, so that he can improve the photos he takes for me for the blog. He’s so supportive, and it means such a lot. Love him :)

6. Panko-breadcrumbed chicken goujons. They’re our favourite thing to eat as a light summer supper, alongside green salad.

7. Wearing my Grandma’s beautiful antique jewellery.

8. Listening to huge rolls of summer thunder. Can there be a storm soon, please?

9. Late afternoon sun. It’s my favourite time of day.

10. Making plans with Jase for our anniversary next month. We’re thinking we might continue our tradition of doing ultra-nerdy stuff, and visit the Tower of London. Woop! ;)

Tell me, how’re you spending your weekend? :) We’re having my cousins to stay with us, so there’ll be BBQing, feasting, probably some shopping, and definitely lots of planning and prep for Emily’s wedding in September. I’m SO excited! This evening we’re having a BBQ at our house, so I’m spending today stocking up on citronella candles to dot round the garden and potatoes to cook up like I did before. Happy Friday, everyone!
