‘A photo a day, for thirty one days.’

Twenty three: Yesterday’s storms were spectacular, but too short for my liking. This moment was particularly beautiful though. Whilst the thunder kept rolling the sun managed to break through the clouds, and shone on all the rain drops as they fell. It was another one of those moments I could’ve bottled up and kept.

Twenty two: Ted accessorises with grass. At one point, it was sticking straight up from his head like an antenna. He does make me laugh!

Cider-with-Rosie-Family-weekend-3

This past weekend was just…glorious. It was full of aching stomachs from laughing so hard, huge bowlfuls of cherries, trying on each other’s clothes, and icecreams at the park. It was late afternoon manicures, stained hands from testing so many lipsticks whilst out shopping, and bouts of nostalgia and reminiscing. Sleeping in late, cups of coffee in our pyjamas in the morning, and playing our new favourite song on repeat (and repeat, and repeat.)

Weekends like this, spent with my Ma, cousins, and sister, really are food for my soul. I love those ladies so :) I took an absurd amount of photos (over 200!), but here are a few of my absolute favourites…

Today I’m starting a new series here on Cider with Rosie, called ‘Monday resolutions!’. On Mondays (perhaps not every Monday, but most…) I’m going to be sharing a resolution I’ve made for myself for the week ahead. Last week I shared on twitter that my resolution was to work on improving my posture, because I so often catch myself slouching and not bothering to hold my core strong. It’s such a waste of all the time I spend trying to tone up my stomach muscles during my weekday workouts! I made fairly good progress with my resolution during last week, and can notice some changes in my body as a result.

This week’s resolution is far less virtuous. I’ve been meaning to have a go at making my own ice cream all summer but still haven’t got round to it yet, so this week I’m going to buy up all the rhubarb I can find and have a go at making this wonderful no-churn rhubarb ice cream. Doesn’t it sound (and look!) delicious? The photo above (and the recipe I’ll be using) are both from The Vanilla Bean Blog.

I’d love to know your thoughts on this new series! Would you be interested in hearing how I get on with each week’s challenge, maybe in a monthly round up post? :)

Happy Monday, everyone!
