A food-for-the-soul kind of weekend.

This past weekend was just…glorious. It was full of aching stomachs from laughing so hard, huge bowlfuls of cherries, trying on each other’s clothes, and icecreams at the park. It was late afternoon manicures, stained hands from testing so many lipsticks whilst out shopping, and bouts of nostalgia and reminiscing. Sleeping in late, cups of coffee in our pyjamas in the morning, and playing our new favourite song on repeat (and repeat, and repeat.)

Weekends like this, spent with my Ma, cousins, and sister, really are food for my soul. I love those ladies so :) I took an absurd amount of photos (over 200!), but here are a few of my absolute favourites…

Below: Ma treated us all to nail polishes! I chose Turquoise and Caicos, and Watermelon (not pictured). Cider-with-Rosie-Family-weekend-4

Below: Sophie inherited our Grandma’s hippy spirit, and wears stacks of beautiful rings all over her fingers. My favourite is the twisted peace sign ring. Cider-with-Rosie-Family-weekend-6

Below: Mum’s cats were grateful we didn’t bring Teddy with us to her house once this weekend. They’re not his biggest fans ;) Cider-with-Rosie-Family-weekend-1

Below: On Sunday, we went up to the lake so that Ted could cool off in the water. We saw the sweetest 16 week old labrador puppy named Marley, and I attempted to bring Jase round to the idea of breeding Ted with a female springer spaniel so we can have a ‘sprocker’ pup! He’s not having any of it, right now, but I’m still working on it… Cider-with-Rosie-Family-weekend-5

Below: It’s been so lovely to watch this swan family grow over the past couple of months. The cygnets are getting bigger and bolder by the day! Cider-with-Rosie-Family-weekend-12

Below: Those icecreams were seriously amazing. Gelato and sorbet are wonderful and all, but sometimes you just can’t beat a good old fashioned 99 with a flake, can you? Cider-with-Rosie-Family-weekend-9

Below: Sophie and I both independently decided to start becoming midi skirt-people! Maybe the first time in my life we’ve worn similar things, but not because I copied her ;) Cider-with-Rosie-Family-weekend-16

Below: On Sunday afternoon, we ate a picnic beneath the big tree at the end of Mum’s garden. We ate so much delicious food, I wasn’t hungry for dinner that evening OR breakfast the next morning! Unheard of… Cider-with-Rosie-Family-weekend-13

Oh I absolutely adore this post. So many wonderful little moments captured perfectly. Oh and I’m a midi skirt type of girl. They are comfortable as heck and I know I’m not in any danger of flashing any passersby. Win, win you know ;)

I love the midi skirts, such a perfect length. I’ve always loved the look of many chunky stacked rings, but never know which to pair together, Sophie does it perfectly ! I
also agree, everytime I leave a makeup store my hands are covered in lipstick swatches !! I can’t help it ! Love the photos, looks like a great weekend.
