These photographs, and this post are both woefully late. I’d intended to share them on Monday or at the very latest, Tuesday, but then the greatblogswitchover happened and completely took over everything else. Now it’s so late in the week I’m starting to think about next weekend. But why let cute photos of Ted go to waste, right? And speaking of Ted, this post it rather pup-heavy. Looks like our local pizza place know us by name.

Last night, we ordered in pizza to celebrate the launch of the new blog, and also just because, you know, laziness…

When I phoned up our local Domino’s and placed my order, I was like ‘Blah blah blah two greasy cheese covered disks please (or thereabouts)…’My partner will collect them when they’re ready’

The guy on the phone replied ‘Will that be Jason coming to pick them up?’

Umm…

If that’s not a sign we need to move to a new town, or at least stop ordering pizza from the same place all the time, I don’t know what is.

Seriously though, how embarrassing? Almost as embarrassing as the time we had the same pizza delivery guy turn up twice in the same week. I made him look into our shell of a kitchen and acknowledge that the reason we were ordering so much pizza was because we had no oven/sink/electricity. Jase told me off for being a psycho after that.

I’m having a weird deja vu feeling, that maybe I wrote about this on the blog before? Blog amnesia…

10 things that’ve made me happy this week…

1. jason. just everything about him, really. i’ve had a super loved up week :)

2. the scent of azalea flowers. they’re the ugliest flowers going, but they do smell incredible!

3. avocado toast. i know i’m late to the party (as ever!) but it really is delicious isn’t it?!

4. the smell of suntan lotion.

5. watching ted jump off the jetty into the lake. he found the biggest stick going, and spent ages leaping into the water to retrieve it. he’s such a waterbaby, and it’s the cutest thing :)

6. reading twilight. i’ve finally managed to get into it, and am glad i persevered. it’s complete rubbish, but summers are just made for reading rubbish aren’t they?!

7. dogshaming.com. it’s the funniest thing!

8. planning our first bbq this weekend. can you believe we’ve never bbqed at our house before, and we’ve been here two years?! ridiculous! i’m pretty excited!

9. watching the lilies come out on the pond outside our house. it always takes me by surprise how beautiful they are.

10. the lovely response to yesterday’s post :) made me so happy!

what do you have planned for the weekend? we’re planning to spend as much time in the sun as possible, drink lots of pimms, and take teddy for a long walk up at the country park. oh, and there’s a very.important rugby match on (note: rugby matches are all always very important!) that jason’s excited to watch, and i’m going to get cracking with reading the second twilight book. happy days!

Some silly but great things that happened yesterday.

picture taken from yesterday morning at the royal landscape gardens. didn’t the lake look so beautiful?

ocado substituted the rubbishy old ‘ripen at home’ avocados i’d ordered with three perfectly ripe ones. score! and hello avocado toast for breakfast!

i managed to nab a free parking spot when teddy and i went for a walk up at the royal landscape gardens. and my car didn’t get clamped! double score!

jason and i went for a takeaway at my mum’s and pinched her fancy bbq to make use of over the next few weeks. and to be honest with you, since it’s always jase who does the bbqing anyway it’s unlikely she’ll ever be getting it back ;)

i painted my nails and they didn’t smudge. essie fiji, in case you were wondering…

the sun shined like an absolute trooper all day, and dried off that soggy dog of mine after his swim in the lake before he could get into the back of my car and start dripping.

i ticked off an entire to do list for the second day in a row!

and lastly…freckles!

and in the interest of fairness- one not so great thing that happened was that the diet dr pepper i ordered turned out to be a total disappointment. should’ve just bought the ultra-sugary version. remind me not to choose the healthy option ever again, please?
