since recently i’ve had so many requests to dedicate a whole post to teddy (that may or may not be a complete fabrication), here we are! ;)
ted is now almost seven months old, and we think he’s ever so handsome :) we haven’t experienced too much of the terrible ‘they turn into monsters at six months’ phase yet, although his selective deafness is coming on a treat and yesterday i caught him trying to reach up and steal food from the dining table…
his paws still smell all puppyish and popcorny, but other than that he’s oh so grown up now! where did our puppy go?!
here are some (far too many) photos of the stinky little man who we love so much…:)

- here’s a picture that proves why i should only be allowed to do our food shopping three weeks out of every four. also, as much as i complained about online food shopping and said i’d never do it, i’m a convert. it’s cheaper, easier, and totally negates the risk of me scraping my car in the waitrose carpark. now that’s a winwin situation if ever i saw one!
- last night jason and i watched our all-time favourite film: pretty woman :) the part where vivienne kisses edward on the lips makes me cry every time. when jason and i first got together he was outraged that i’d never seen pretty woman, so he bought me a copy on dvd and we watched it together lying on my bed in my mum’s house. it’s a happy memory :)
- currently compiling a list of trashy novels to read, and tv series to watch when i finish university. as much as i do enjoy reading the classics (sometimes. kind of. and only under my own steam. i’m a great student.) i seriously cannot wait to have complete freedom to read whatever i want! on the list so far: twilight, gossip girl, true blood, and just maybe some nonsense by sophie kinsella. i.can’t.wait!
- on tuesday i was reading: jazzabelle’s diary and from gem with love, watching: pretty woman (and girl crushing on julia roberts) listening to: one direction ‘kiss you’, eating: homemade tortilla chips. discovering: the joys of peppermint green tea!
tell me, how was your tuesday? :) is anyone else eagerly awaiting payday tomorrow? my bank called me yesterday and were like ‘rosie, stop spending money’. so on that note, i’m buying a new lens for my camera. hurray!

remember last week’s post, where i was all like ‘oh hooray, spring’s come to london!’? well, i take it back. it was actually snowing when we got into the city yesterday afternoon. snowing! and it’s nearly march! i didn’t mind too much though, because you can’t help but love this city, even when it’s grey and dreary and even your boyfriend’s long johns can’t keep you warm.

we (mum, francesca and i) met my cousin emily at waterloo for an afternoon of shopping the boutique stands at somerset house. now, i’ve heard good things about shopping at london fashion weekend in the past so i’m not sure if this one was just a dud, but it was…not so great. after sticking it out for an hour or so (i played an enjoyable game called ‘spot the blogger’!) we decided to escape up to covent garden. you know, as much as i flirt with the king’s road and notting hill areas of london, covent garden really does have my heart.
we talked about emily’s wedding (so exciting!) drank raspberry mojitos (i drank one, and it made me embarrassingly woozy!) and ate what i’m calling the best burger ever. i’d quite like to have byron’s blue cheese sauce on tap, please.

special oscar speech-style mentions for the kind lady in lush, who chopped up three different shampoo bars for me so i could take them home to sample, and to mum for treating us all day long. thank you!

in the past week or so, i’ve felt at my absolute happiest when i’ve been out walking. almost every day ted and i take a trip over to the heath not far from our house, and spend an hour tramping through the heather and up and down hills. my favourite time to go is around three o clock, when the sun’s setting and the light is hazy. it’s just magic.
below- i call this outfit ‘fifty shades of khaki’
below- this little man just loves the sunshine
below- ‘magic hour’ sunlight
below: we were just having a chat, you know?
