11. i once drove the whole way round the m25, because i turned the wrong way when joining the motorway and couldn’t turn back round. three and a half hours and one hysterical phone call to my mum later, i was home…

12. as a child i hated peas and prawns with a vengeance, but would eat them willingly when they were in chinese special fried rice. i had my priorities straight even back then ;)

13. i’ve got a really good memory for words and languages. i’d really like to learn a really unusual language like urdu or cantonese, just for the fun of it!

14. i don’t really like watching films all that much. my concentration span just isn’t long enough!

15. i had such an obsession with eating pickled cucumbers last summer that my tummy started burning every time i ate one. i had a three a day habit, and eventually jason had to put them out of my reach in the kitchen to stop me from eating them!

16. ducks are my favourite animal.

17. my mum and i could not be more different! we once did a ‘are you an introvert or an extrovert?’ test online, and on a scale of 1-20 (1 being total introvert and 20 being complete extrovert) i scored 2 and she scored 19! :)

18. i’m number dyslexic, but only found out that was an actual ‘thing’ about a month ago! it explains a lot ;)

19. i learnt how to french plait when i was about 12, whilst watching the princess diaries. anne hathaway had her hair in a thick braid, and i thought ‘i can do that’…and i just did it!

20. my left thumb is really loose in the socket. it makes gripping things with that hand really difficult, and it means i’ve had some very near misses when chopping ingredients in the kitchen!

- today is my ma’s birthday! yay! i’m spending the day baking the birthday cake she’s requested ( lime cake with cream cheese frosting), and have managed to get lime syrup everywhere. everything in our house, including the dog, is covered in a film of stickiness. still, i’m hoping it’ll be worth it! i just tasted a spoonful (or ten) of leftover syrup, and it was mighty delicious! as well as cake, we’ll be having dinner of roast duck legs with a blackberry and balsamic sauce, served with roast potatoes, and sauteed spinach. yum!
- whilst my cake was baking this afternoon, i watched nativity. yup, it’s a christmas film. and it was 100% awesome.
- homeland update: jason and i are halfway through the second season. it’s epic, and amazing, and i don’t want it to end. can anyone recommend a good tv series to fill the void when we’re finished watching this season of homeland? we tried madmen the other day, and got about half an hour into the first episode before getting bored and switching off! is it worth persevering with? :)
today: i’ve been listening to- lana del ray off to the races. watching- last night’s episode of miranda. eating- yesterday’s mushroom risotto!
how has your tuesday been so far, my lovely readers? :)

last week, the lovely miss estee posted a ‘fifty random facts about me’ video on her youtube channel (which is ever so brilliant and funny, by the way)! i enjoyed watching her video so much that i decided to do my own list of fifty random facts right here on cider with rosie! my list will be split up into bitesize chunks of ten, and here’s the first lot…

1. i used to be super super flexible. now i’m just that girl who *used* to be super flexible, and thinks she’s still got it. (i don’t)

2. i have a phobia of repeating textured patterns, like the insides of pomegranates and rashes and clusters of insect eggs. even the word ‘clusters’ makes my throat feel a bit funny. blurgh.

3. i really like reading the same books over and over. i find their familiarity comforting :)

4. i loathe black pepper. i can’t think of anything worse than sprinkling those little satan flakes onto my food!

5. my hands are absurdly small. bracelets slide right off my wrists, and i can almost never find rings that fit! it is rubbish!

6. i’m atrocious at remembering/understanding song lyrics, so i pretty much just make up my own. it’s a constant source of hilarity for jason ;)

7. i only like to eat bananas when they’re really green, with no brown spots at all.

8. when i was little, i sprained my wrist by trying to pull off my shirt without undoing the button on the cuff.

9. in the battle of sweet vs savoury, i’ll back savoury all the way!

10. i can fall asleep at the drop of a hat. as soon as i lay down on my front, i’m asleep! it’s quite the talent! ;)
