Dreaming of Winter.

04.08

it happens every single year. when summer (if we can call our two months of rain that would impress even noah ‘summer’) begins to wind down, i start to think longingly of hats and scarves, biting winds, twinkling lights and all things cinnamon. last year i got so excited about christmas in september that jason banned me from mentioning it until november! i ignored that rule totally, of course ;)

i’m really looking forward to making my favourite cranberry and apple chutney in october, and waiting patiently whilst it matures ready to be eaten with cheese on christmas day. i can’t wait for the yankee christmas candles to arrive in the shops, and i have my fingers crossed that they bring back the ‘sparkling snow’ scent that was my absolute favourite from last year’s range. i can’t wait for snow, and gift wrapping colour schemes, and decorating the house with lights, and the delicious smell of fir trees.

what are your favourite things about winter? are you already beginning to dream of all things festive, just like i am? :)

I am exactly the same, in fact I nearly blogged about it last week when it rained but I thought I might be the only one! Christmas is my favourite time of year, I make it last all of December. I’m already planning decorations, outfits, food, gifts … you name it! So pleased I’m not alone!

Ooh, it’s like you’ve read my mind! I actually have a really bad habit of always missing Christmas during summer and I’ll even listen to a few Christmas songs every now and then :)
Christmas is just a magical time. It’s easily my favourite time of year and this year I’m actually spending it in London! I live in Denmark right now but I will be moving there in less than two months. Hopefully Christmas will be just as cosy and wonderful as always x

I love autumn and winter, they are definitely the best seasons. My sister tells me off for wishing the ‘summer’ away. I personally can’t wait to be cosied up in jumpers and start the countdown to Christmas!

Ah I loved this post! Partly because I’ve found someone like meeeee (in a kings of leon sing song voice). I LOVE winter, nothing beats wrapping up in thick tights and a chunky cardigan. So much better than this fake summer we’re having

This is exactly how I feel too! After the initial excitement of being able to wear summer dresses for about a week has worn off I find myself longing for wooly jumpers and cute knits again. There’s nothing like watching the snow falling outside while you’re all curled up in cosy pyjamas with a hot chocolate… Winter should hurry up, already! :)
    I hope you’re having a lovely weekend :) xxx

I’m quite looking forward to winter too. It’s such a lovely time of year. Its a bit depressing that summer has not even started over here yet. I’m the same I can’t wait to get the warm smelling scented candles out and lush bubble baths, with cozy onesies lol xxx
