A Snapshot: Sunday

- today my lovely mum and i moseyed into town for a starbucks brunch and a mooch round the makeup counters in boots. it was lovely and relaxed, and i got to hear all about the fabulous bruce springsteen concert mum went to yesterday evening! she’s off to another concert in london tonight too- is it bad that my mama is far cooler than me? ;) we’ve been compared to edina and saffy from ‘absolutely fabulous’ on more than one occasion ;)
- i confessed to hating nail polish a couple of weeks ago. well, now i confess to being fickle as can be, and deciding that actually i do quite like it after all!
- this week is my two month blogging anniversary (monthiversary?!) and i’m still loving every minute of it! it’s all too easy to get caught up in the statistics and to feel disappointed when cider with rosie has a ‘low day’ reader-wise, but i’ve been trying hard to appreciate each individual page view for what it is- a person taking time out of their day to read about mine. thinking this way is helping me to focus less on statistics, and to appreciate each and every person who stops by my little corner of the internet :) ♥
-yesterday jason and i made burgers for dinner. grilled aberdeen angus burgers, then a layer of cheese, then bacon, then more cheese, and all piled into a bun with pickles, mayo and ketchup. best.dinner.ever! 

- i’ve been listening to: magic fm (old school is just too good!) reading: milk bubble tea drinking: blue machine naked superfood smoothie.

    Such cute nail polishes, glad to hear you’ve turned around. I don’t always love nail polish too, but 90% of the time, I do :)

    Rusty went to that concert, too! He came back all excited that PM played at the end but couldn’t remember what songs. We looked it up and I CANNOT BELIEVE that he forgot Twist & Shout live…madness.

    Congrats on realising nail polish is awesome. Rubes will be relieved.

    i too have a love hate relationship with nail varnish. i love how it looks but i hate when it starts to chip. i have been blogging on and off for 2 years and i too get caught up in the statistics but i try and just blog for me and if someone else likes it then that’s a bonus. you’ve a lovely blog, keep up the good work! :)

      that’s what i find tricky about nail varnish too- the chipping and constant upkeep! although the little loreal nail varnishes i’ve bought recently are brilliant. my part-time day job is quite manual and i work with my hands non-stop all day long, but i haven’t had a single chip using these varnishes! they’ve stayed on for days on end with only a tiny bit of fading at the tips! amazing!

      thanks, it is really pretty :) it’s actually a lot paler in ‘real life’, like a cross between lilac and taupe. i love it!

      it is really lovely, the particles of glitter are really fine but catch the light so well! ooh i really really want to buy a gold one- i’m wearing orange nail varnish at the moment and gold glitter would go so nicely with it! where did you get yours from? :)
