today i had a picnic at this beautiful place…

with this beautiful lady…

it was quite an impromptu event, but we rustled up a fruit salad or two (i can’t get enough fruit at the moment!) and a couple of squished sandwiches and had a lovely time :) the lake and grounds were so beautiful, and i even spotted a mama swan with two signets swimming behind her, and a third nestled between her wings on her back! 

you can just see it clambering on in the photo below. so sweet!
